与众多随性放浪的写作者不同，郑恩柏的写作规划充满了自律和严谨，阅读、健身和兼职，一切都围绕写作展开，服务于写作，而他所创作出来的作品，却又满是岔路和迷津。《蛮与痴》中，作者以声音收集者的角色，钻入一个个不同职业、不同性别的人物内心，呈现出一个众声喧哗而自说自话、普通话主线叙事与蛮话方言自发生长并行的世界。
